The Life TURTLENEST project, co-financed by the European Union through the LIFE programme, is aimed at improving the conservation of the loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta) in the Mediterranean, through monitoring activities and securing the nests.

Furthermore, the project intends to evaluate the impact of climate change on the nesting of the species.
